Description:

Nothing is permanent. All that is created will get destroyed one day. And the batteries of your beloved laptops are no exception. Their life reduces every time you charge them. Slowly and steadily after a few hundred recharges you notice that a full charge does not last as long.

Using the not-so-magical library, pyfirmata, an arduino board and a relay switch you can know how long your battery is expected to live.

Also, come attend the talk to discover a neat trick for slightly increasing the life of your laptop's battery

Prerequisites:

  • basic knowledge of pyfirmata library
  • basic python

Have you given any talks(including this one) before? Any experience of public speaking? It's not a requirement for doing the talk but would definitely help us gauge the experience level. We suggest going through the presentation least once in front of a small audience to get some experience if you have not already.
