Make your own lab with Python and Box0.

Box0 is a Free/open source* software and hardware project for learning electronics, physics and other fields of science and technology.

It is a credit card sized, low powered and multi functional tool that connects with a computer, smart phone or raspberry pi so that you can learn by doing experiments whenever and wherever you want.

We will demonstrate how Python and Box0 can be used by students and educators to build complex instruments, interface electronic circuits and sensors and Acquire, Process and Visualize physical data in real time without spending a lot of money on expensive, bulky and closed source instruments.

  • = work in progress. The hardware and software details will be on GPL and open source hardware licenses once we launch our crowd funding campaign.

  • Familiarity with Python, physics and some electronics concepts.

Hi! Sandeep, Thanks for putting up the proposal. It would be great if you could add the contents soon, as that will help us in evaluating your proposal.

AMiT Kumar (~aktech)

Please upload the slides/structure so they can be reviewed before 12th feb.

Have you given any talks(including this one) before? Any experience of public speaking? It's not a requirement for doing the talk but would definitely help us gauge the experience level. We suggest going through the presentation least once in front of a small audience to get some experience if yo have not already.

Akshay Arora (~akshayaurora)

Can you post more details about Box0, like a link to the product description, where can it be bought, how is it available, licensing info.

Akshay Arora (~akshayaurora)

Hi Akshay Please visit : There you will find pictures, description and some posters related to Box0 (The posters are from a different event). Both the hardware and software will be released on free/libre/open source licenses once we launch our crowd funding campaign in April. Hope that helps :)

Thanks for the clarification, looking forward to your presentation
